By Hugh Collins
July 26 (Bloomberg) -- Mexico’s Transportation Ministry agreed to contribute 3 billion pesos ($227 million) to the construction of a new metro line in Mexico City.
The federal government agreed to pay 17.1 percent of the cost of the line, the transportation ministry said today in an e-mailed statement. The total cost of the project will reach 17.6 billion pesos, the statement said.
The line will run from Mixcoac, in the south west of the city, to Tlahuac in the south east, and will have 20 stations.
